Climate Policy to Sector Impacts

The US has recently indicated that it will aggressively pursue a net-zero carbon economy by 2050, aligning its carbon future with that of Canada, Japan, China and many large international corporations.

There are 2 pathways described in this study. The first envisions the world cooperating, elevating and integrating developing economies into a global low-carbon economy. The second envisions the world on a path toward a low-carbon economy, but there is little cooperation between nations and economies.

For this experiment, we are defining the macroeconomic factors as:

  • GDP Purchasing Power Parity (PPP)

  • Global Primary Energy Consumption

  • Global Primary Energy by Source

  • Global Population Growth

Given these alignments, where do you see the state of the market heading in the next 12 months?

Let's find out!
